swelling and pain

My breasts are swollen and hurt. I'm not sexually active so I'm not pregnant. Could someone tell me what can cause this?

Your cycle is coming on soon or hormones could be off balance.

Simple answer: hormones.  Sore breasts can just be a part of your cycle and can last all month, a week before, during, after, etc. even if it's not normally part of your cycle.  I wouldn't worry.
