swollen vagina

I have noticed in the last 5 days that my vagina has been slightly swollen and has a minor itch.I have had yeast infections before and I don't believe thats what this is.My boyfriend and I went to have sex last night and I made him stop because I was becoming more swollen and it was painful.He does not use a condom and we were not using any lubricant.We have been together for four years and have had sex on a daily basis and I have have never had this happen before.What could be causing my vagina to swell like this??
