tampon emergency

I have had a tampon lost since for a week inside of me, I wasn't sure it was still there until my period ended on monday, but now I have this discomfort in my lower regions, it is now becoming unbearable. It has been the last 2 days accompanied with a sharp pain . I've tried to check for the tampon several times but have not felt it or the string . I waited a week because tampons usually come out of me even when I don't want them to right away but this one feels like its lodged in my uterus is that possible?

See a doctor immediately. Leaving a tampon in there forthis length of time can cause a serious bacterial infection which can lead to toxic shock, as you are complaining of pain it is highly advisable that you seek medical help straight away.

Best Wishes, Dee.

You need to see a doctor, fast! If a tampon is in you for more than 8 hours, sometimes you can get a disease. It's been in there for a week, and you can't find it? Grab a phone, Now.
