sorry..just saw your post.
you just tell the dr. that there is a piece of skin hanging or an odd appearance to you and you dont know if its something to be concerned about. they ask you what prompted you to come in anyway and then usually say, okay, lets take a look. you dont need to say much. she/he will look and let ya know and ask you questions based upon their observation.

again hmmmm.
I have heard of women whose hymen does not tear away, sould this be the thin piece of skin called the hymen and only part of it has torn away?  If that is the case, you may need to see the doctor to have it clipped awy so you do not hurt yourself or get an infection.  I don't think this is something to "play" around with.  I suggest you get it checked out.

ps-umm, is it not painful to have had it split in half? when i have sex i have to push it to the side or it pulls and hurts, but now that i know that's a tearable(terrible) loop of whatever i'm worried it's gonna tear and it's gonna hurt-it hurt so bad having it around the tampon. have you found any other reference to this abnormality? i have been looking for hours and found you only cuz i too regard it as gross

Oh my freakin god, I have that! As much as I masturbate I discovered it when it got caught in my tampon yesterday morning. It had been pushed up inside and glued itself to core of the tampon. Not only that, but the string got looped through the hole a few times. My boyfriend had to go in with tweezers and scissors to get the tampon out. Now I feel like a freak of nature with it stretched out so much. Do you know if it shrinks back like a piercing? It looks like a piercing, so I thought it might.

hmmm you know that there are two sets of "lips" the major and minor  labia, you may not have ever noticed the minor "inner lips" before if this was your first experience.  After a sexual activity both sets will swell up- but if you have pain, discharge or anyother abnormalities you should go to a clinic.  And please always be safe!

The hole is called your "vagina" and it sounds to me like the two pieces of skin you're talking about are the normal part of female anatomy.
Do you have some adult woman that you can trust to talk to about your body?  It sounds as if you are young...pardon me if I'm incorrect.  How old are you?
When you become excited, blood rushes to that part of your body, and it becomes swollen.  Maybe that's why you've never noticed before.
Like the post above mine said, if you're in pain, or having any weird discharge (discharge is sometimes liquid-like, and sometimes a little thicker)...if this discharge smells funny, or if you have any itching or irritation, you should find a doctor or clinic to go to.
Also, make sure you're using a condom.  You need to protect yourself when you have sex, both from pregnancy, but also from STD's (sexually transmitted diseases...)

Well hun, it just may be a part of your anatomy that you've never noticed before...
I think I get what your saying... and it's normal to have to flappy thingys. lol.
Are you talking about your vagina lips? They come in all shapes and sizes. I dont think that by having sex, his penis is going to split it. I'm sure you're okay.
You dont need surgary to fix it.
Have you had a pap smear yet?
