I just started my period yesterday and me and my husband want to try an have our first :) well I hear all this stuff from my girl friends saying to wait after your period and u can only get pregnant one day out of a month...so I don't know what to believe. So since I started my period yesterday when's the best time to get pregnant. ?

On amazon.com you can buy ovulation test strips, its a pretty easy way to see when your ovulating and try around that time.

It's a cycle. So the first day of your period is day 1. Your period is usually over by day 7. It's day 8 to 20 (all after day 1 through 7 of your period) that you can get pregnant, but 10-14 is the most likely days. Does this make more sense?
Day 1- 1st day of period
Day 7- Period should be over
Day 10-14- You're usually ovulating here.

It's different for everyone, but anywhere from 8 to 20 days from yesterday (the first day of your period). Most common (if you're regular in your cycles) would be about 10-14 days from yesterday. When I got pregnant with my son, I started about day 10 from the first day of my period and had sex everyday for a week. It worked for me. :)
