It is actually amazing that the same months aug and sept of tubal ligation patients after a few years gets misconstrued. I had mine in Nov. 2008 after my C-Section with my son. This year is when I started having complications with my period,I have had two cycles in a month at least three times this year. But now the last month I am experiencing prego behavior. I was tied and burned, so i'm a little dazed that I have these symptoms. Then again I just turned thirty, who's to say what changes we are all gonna go thru since get female sterilization. I wish you all the best. Be blessed. D.M.G
It is possibel to get pregant after a tubal i have gotten pregant the first one was a year and a half after the tubal the last one was just four months agoo
I was reading your postings and once i started reading ang7880 postings it is exactly what happened to me. i am back to normal right now but i never know when to expect my cycles anymore. my doctor said it could have been stress related??? i haven't been under any more amount of stress then usual. but ever since i had my tubal i have been irregular and have really heavy ( and very clotty) periods. don't know if i will ever became regular again. just thought i let y'all know you aren't alone. i wonder how often this occurs....?
My hubby was bummed too. He was upset I got the tubal to begin with but having kids so close together really made me think I didn't want anymore. If I were to get pg, then I would be happy. But, if I don't then that's fine with me too.
I'm glad to hear nothing major is going on with you. Maybe, he won't have to put you on BC. Keep me posted on the results.
My e-mail is ***@**** (hope I don't get in trouble). In case they erase it, I'll put it in my profile.
Write me sometime. I'll be on here from time to time.
Woohoo! =) I was hoping the same had happened for you. Hubby admitted that he was kind of bummed about the negative pregnancy test.....more so when I got AF, because he was just hoping the test was inaccurate. He said he was getting used to the idea of having another little one.
The doc is checking my estrogen and testosterone levels, as well as my iron. He said the testosterone would be to blame for the 2 periods each month, which last longer and the bleeding is heavier. The testosterone would also be to blame for my, pretty much, non-existent libido.
If my issue is estrogen, I'll have to get on bc to regulate my hormones..ugh. That's the last thing I want to do.
Anywho, I find go back in 3 weeks to get the results.
I would love to keep in touch as well. What's the best way to do that????
Hey. I am happy to report that I got AF Wed. night. :) Now, I can stop worrying.
What did the dr have to say yesterday??? Hope you got a good report.
Even though we did get what we were looking for, I would still like to keep in touch!
HEY! I'm sooooooo sorry I haven't posted recently. Hubby and I have been busy with projects around the house.
I got AF on Tuesday! Actually Monday night! And she's full-force right now.
How are things with you?
I feel so stupid now .....I mean, I feel fine. And I have my appt with the endocrinologist today. It feels pointless now, but I'm going to go ahead and go........who's to say the symptoms will not return? And I still have that hair loss issue.
any changes???? none to report here...no period....no new symptoms....still waiting.....
OMG.....I went to the store today and cried all the way up there and all the way back. We are so hormonal!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is our deal here?................I don't have any breast tenderness or pain. But the backahes are getting worse......That story was awesome!
read this woman's story...

click on "our story"
made my eyes tear up....
although, I'm tearing up quite easily as of late.
cried like 3-4 times during a movie last night. lmao
one other symptom has emerged that i failed to mention. I do not have breast tenderness, but out of the blue will have these deep, sharp pains that quickly come and go.
found this...posted it on the thread started by Thrashley...
thought I would post here too..
What is the failure rate for tubal ligations? A recent study (the Collaborative Review of Sterilization, or CREST, study) looked at 10,000 women who had undergone tubal ligation and found 143 failures (a failure rate of 1.4 percent). It can be higher when a tubal is done at the time of a C-section. The failure rate also tends to increase the longer it has been since one had a tubal ligation. The U.S. Collaborative Review of Sterilization (CREST) found the failure rate for tubal ligation (all occlusion methods) to be 1.85% after 10 years.
I've heard that about ept, too. Yea, you should've popped him one..LOL.....They should never talk about our weight, when will they learn.......My backaches are starting to get worse....maybe I'll start today.....That's usually a key sign right before I start...I'll let u know.......Keep me posted.....
yup, negative. It was ept....not the digital one, as I've heard of women having false positives with that one...I was thinking of taking the other one after the 15th...as that's when I had my last mp in August. My hubby said, "Well, you think all of those frappuccinos finally caught up with you? Don't you think it just might be age catching up with you?"... as far as the tummy weight. OMG! I'm 27! Nothing in my diet has changed and I gave up my coffee addiction....wouldn't make sense that the weight would come on NOW rather than a month ago. ??? I should've popped him one! lol I'll try to find Thrashley's post....
so, negative, huh? what could possibly be wrong with us? I just read a post and this girl is having problems like us. She called her dr to see about going in. Her name is Thrashley. Hope she can get an answer then maybe we can get a clue as to what's going on with us. IDK..........when are u taking the next test? What kind did u buy? I bought First Response Early Detection so I'm sure it's pretty accurate.....still have that feeling in the back of my mind that I am pg........what to do, what to do!!!!!!!!!!
Hey! Yes, I broke down and bought a test...well, hubby went to get one for me. He bought a 2 pack. Took one yesterday, granted...it wasn't first thing in the morning, so not sure I should take one again...but NEGATIVE. Still no period. Same bloating and cramping...although today is good so far...I feel like my normal little self. =) It's a waiting game at this point. Maybe my period has fixed itself and I'll have a normal 28-day-ish cycle. Who knows! Ah!
I will keep you posted...I still have that other test. Hubby agrees that I wait a few days before taking it again...and make sure I take it first thing in the morning.
If anyone has been reading our posts, please feel free to join in the conversation if you might have an idea what's going on with me/us. Has anyone had the same problem???
Just thought I would check on you. Anything changed? Have you taken a test yet? I still have no period or any sign of it coming. I wish it would come so I would stop worrying but it don't look like that will happen anytime soon. Anyway, let me know what's going on.
wow. See, that's why I'm afraid to spend the money on a test...although I've been quite tempted to get one. Decisions... decisions......
by the way....BFN means big fat negative.
sorry I didn't post earlier. my son had baseball games and a b-day party so I've been extremley busy. I took a test and it was neg. what the hell? I am almost ready to go to the doc and get a blood test. I was cramping bad this morning so I thought my period was coming but it didn't. I'm stressing over this and maybe that's why it hasn't come. who knows.
I'm pushing this up. Any result yet? I'm anxious to know. I had some cramping last night...thought I would wake up to see that my visitor had arrived...but no.
BFN?
Yes, my doc recommended I go see my Gyno again to get on bc...but I refused...that's why he's referred me to an endocrinologist...I have been experiencing hair loss recently as well...but I wasn't really associating that with my periods. I only usually see it when I wash my hair...clumps (nothing huge, but too much not to notice)....I'm not keen on traditional medication...so I've thought about trying to regulate my hormones with herbs and such if it turns out that I'm just deficient, my physician mentioned estrogen and said that it was hard to read..because estrogen fluctuates in women throughout the month. It's so tempting to go get a test...but like you, I don't like the thought of wasting $$ on one only to get a negative response. I've also been having the lower back pain...only within the last two weeks though. The lower back pain and the bloating has been happening within the last two weeks. Before, I would have bloating before my period..only like the day prior...not for two weeks straight! Let me know how it turns out.
I think I'm too "bloated" for any yoga..LOL.....My hubby said I have been acting like queen of all b******. So I guess I am a little moody but who wouldn't be with all these problems. Men just don't understand..They get to have sex and go about their daily lives while we worry about periods and pregnancy. I'm going to break down and buy another test tomorrow. Can't wait any longer. I'm going to go in the poor house buying pg tests.......I have lower back aches but not bad, more uncomfortable...I'm beginning to think it's from being overweight though....or pregnancy???? Have you thought about getting on the pill to regulate your periods? I'm thinking about asking the doc b/c my sister is on the pill and had her tubes tied 2 yrs ago...I thought it was odd but she says her periods were 10 times worse after the TL so her dr recommended BC.....but ****, that was the whole point of getting fixed so I wouldn't have to remember to take a stupid pill everyday. I'll let you know the results tomorrow...prob a BFN......
