uncomfortable

Im 21 and have been with my boyfriend for 5 years. lately I have just been uninterested in haveing sex with my boyfriend. I just started a new birthcontrol, the depo Shot. I am just wondering if this is normal? And if there is a way to change how i am feeling. It is really putting stress on our relationship.

Hormones affect everyone in different ways, so the Depo Shot could be to blame. Stress can also affect libido.  It could also be that something is lacking in the relationship that was there before outside the bedroom.  All sorts of things.

Regarding the absent period: Unless you started the shot right after your period, I would probably test, but it could also simply be the shot regardless as it is fairly unpredictable how it will affect a woman.
