vaginal infections

im married my husband and I have only been with each other.  I had a baby 6 months ago and about 1 1/2 months ago i was on antibiotics.  Next thing you know I had burning and itching but no odor or weird discharge.  I was put diflucane.  Then it was antibiotics and a yeast creme.  It got a little better but didn't go away completely.  I am now on a different antibiotic and diflucan for yeast but it seems to be getting more burning.  I am so frustrated.  I have been checked for chlamydia and gonoreah which was negative.  Please if anyone has been through this or any doctors can enlighten me I would appreciate it.  It has been a month of this now.

check out vulvodynia.com    Many of the symptoms are yeast infection like.   Perhaps you have pinched nerves or muscle dysfunction from having the baby.  It's totally possible.    A physcial therapist who works with pelvic disorders would be able to help diagnosis whether or not it was muscle/nerve related.

if you are having sex with your husband he may need to be treated also because he can also harbor bacteria and reinfect you.

I just wanted to share this with you...when you take antibiotics you are killing good and bad bacteria.  That is why you should always take Probiotics whenever you need to take antibiotics.  It helps you to replenish the good bacteria.  When the good/friendly bacteria are not replenished you can get an overgrowth of Candida (yeast).  It can come out in many different symptoms, you happen to get it as a yeast infection.  People with a Candida overgrowth usually crave sugar, are tired a lot, and have a difficult time losing weight, can experience gain weight, etc.  I would pick up a bottle of Probiotics from a health food store (I personally like Kal's Probiotics-the more good bacteria the better and it has to be refrigerated) and would start taking them ASAP in order to help replenish the "friendly" bacteria.  Also, I would do a Candida Diet (do a search and it will tell you what you can and can not eat) to rid yourself of the bad bacteria.  It is a difficult diet, but once you get through the first few weeks you will start to feel great and lose weight due to ridding your body of the Candida.  I hope this helps you...it is unfortunate that most doctors do not inform their patients of this side-effect from antibiotics (as we all know, there is an extremely large amount of money to be made in the pharmacy business which could be at the expense of the patients).....
