I have brown to skin coloured wart looking skin growths, that variey from half a centre metre to smaller than a grain of sand on one side of my outer labia. Some are attached to each other and some are on their own, they are not ichy but i do get a fairly smelly vagina. I have never been involved in any sexual activity so i am unsure what this is, how i got it and how to treat it. Can anyone help? Thanks

Hi,

Im 17 and really scared because i have noticed some changes in my vagina. I have had test but they have always come up ok! but the changes are still here. The thing that is wrong is that i have noticed that my discharge is a lot thicker and stringy. Plus the odour is not very nice. I mean it's not strong but if i dont have a bath everyday then the smell gets really strong plus when i was feeling inside my vaginal area i noticed i had a lump. Im not quite sure wether it had been there for a little while or since i was born but the point is that i had nver noticed it before. I have been to the doctor to have test to see if i had a infection but it came up ok. I am really worried but at the same time i dont know if it's just my body going through changes. Please can you suggest something as i really am worried. Oh yeh and sometimes when i have sex it hurts. Please i would be really grateful if you could reply to this as soon as possible, thankyou

Well first off you need to go back to your doctor and tell them what you just posted and go from there. There are many different types of tests available and if you only take a test for an infection and if something else is wrong it will not show up unless that specific test was done. If that all makes sense.

And if your doctor seems to be lost as what to do, get a second opinion because your young and don't want something screwed up so early in life.

And just from what you said about the odor and discharge it really sounds like you have BV. That is an infection that can only be cured by a prescription so please do not try an over the counter drug. A doctor must write that up. I called my Ob/GYN and they did it by phone and I did not have to even go to see them.

Also there is a cream at Wal-Mart i don't remember the actual name but it is for PH balance. Before or after the treatment for BV, try that also that can help from everything going out of wack.

As for the bump that is something I can not comment on because I am not sure. That would be what a doctor needs to take a look at, and please do not feel embarrassed from doing so, just think of everything else they have had to look at. You will not be the first or last.

Good luck and let us know if that helped or you need further guidance!
