Hurting after sex?

I had sex for the first time in nearly a year and at the time it didn't hurt me now I'm in pain. I'm swollen and sort. Feels like I've got thrush! Last few times I've done this it's happened. I just don't no what to do. I've been to the doctors before and they've not really said anything. Is it normal?

Pain is not normal. Latex bothers some people. If you use condoms, consider latex- free ones.
Lube or lack of lube can create pain. Also, you may need to experience a climax before intercourse.  This can relax you.
It's always good to check w your doctor. Since you have, then do a self examination too, each time with a mirror. Make sure you have nothing torn.
   Hope this helps.   Pamela

I did actually use a condom. I've tried using lube before and think I react to even more. See we didn't really do much fore play before we actually did it. Do you think this could be way as well? Would you recommend me going to the doctors again? Now I feel like I've got thrush which is driving me made! I am torn a little bit as well. Thank you for your response. A
