yeas infection please help..

hey. well the thing is i have been getting these yeast infections ongoing since i first became sexually active at the age of 17. im 21 now... i have been to the doctors countless of times and they just give me the same crap stuff that never works. (i am currently using monostat 7 to treat my one that i have now, i find it works better thann the things drs perscribe..) the last dr i went to suggested i take the diflucan once a week for 3 months... well i dont think so... i am already passed the limit that my medical will pay and unless she wants to give me $200 i dont think so so anyways this is where i need help. it doesnt seem like my drs are of anyhelp even though ive asked plenty of times for an gyno. i have only been with two men and both of them were tested for these infections and other stds n stis before we slept together and i had them treated right after each infection i had just incase.

the thing is i noticed i will only get them if i am being sexually active... i can go months w/o getting them if im not. this is because I dry out so fast and it starts to hurt after a short time and sex becomes uncomfortable for me and i just have to end up faking it just to make him happy!. im asking for help because im wanting to know if there is anything i can take or use that will help me produce more "juices" my partner and i use lube but he doesnt like using it and does not like to give oral since ive had these hes afraid to even go down there with his mouth.. and hes so great at it! -sigh.

i am getting really frustrated w. this already because i feel like it is hurting my relationship with my boyfriend and i love him so much. I want to be able to enjoy sex again and not have to fake it and really be able to satisfy him and i want to be able to have oral again! lol

please someone help! :)

thanks for the advice. but we have tried different lubes. and always use nonting more than pea size - size of toothpaste on a  toothbrush. i dont use fragrances in my lower area as i know this can cause irritation  also.

I see your predicament! My first thought on reading was about lubricant. You weren't specific about what / how much you are using. Dry sex is never fun, and can lead to micro abrasions, cuts or tears that open the door to other nasty symptoms. Some women still use petroleum jelly, which is a way-old-fashined no-no in my book. Baby oil or lotion can present similar problems owing to its water insolubility and added synthetic fragrances (I've never been able to use scented toilet paper).

There are a variety of good personal lubes out there you might try if you haven't already. I won't list them, if you don't mind, but you can easily find them off the shelf. I'm hoping this will help you, and all you really need is a small dollop on the head of the penis before intercourse. Not to be presumptious, but start slowly before you get really whammy! LOL. Sorry. When I needed it years ago, we only used about half the equivalent amount of toothpaste we use on a rotary toothbrush. I used to think spit was the way to go, but it dries out much too quickly. I don't believe sex should be a natural cause for yeast infections, at least not long term.. there's gotta be something else going on here. Good luck!
