Jelly Like Sperm

Last Night I noticed my husbands sperm was a clear jelly type.
I noticed that weeks ago to, its actually kinda scary thinking what if we are not able to have kids. I told him
to drink lots of water and that seemed to help the topic but now it has came back and he is the
type where he will not to go the Doctors.
What could this jelly type sperm be???
Is it dangerous?
Infection?
Can i get it also if it is an infection?

This discussion is related to jelly like substance in sperm.

The truth is, this can HELP you have kids.  This jelly like semen has live sperm in it.  When it mixes with fluids from your vagina, it will dissolve and the sperm will swim on their merry way.  This jelly type of sperm actually sticks up higher in the vagina, instead of falling back out like most semen does.  Some people think it's actually an evolved form of sperm because of the way it stays up in the woman when other would fall out.

Because of it sticking up in there and then releasing sperm after, it actually means that there is an even bigger chance of getting pregnant than normal, if all else with you two is  normal and you're able to have children that is.

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
A jelly like semen is actually quite normal. The jelly like appearance is due to fructose in the semen that is supposed to keep the sperm viable after ejaculation. Also the semen consistency can vary from day to day. This has nothing to do with viable sperms. The semen consistency could be normal yet not have viable sperms.
If you are facing fertility issues both of you need to go to the infertility clinic.
Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
