I concur 100% with "bluebutterfly2222" .... at this point the Chemo is the more important factor but as she also stated it is your daughter's decision ..... I don't believe any of us here would stop Chemotherapy for this type of surgery unless there were a critial issue involved which of course there isn't from what was stated. Please give her our best wishes whatever she decides.    Kindest regards ....

Your daughter already has KNOWN breast cancer and her oncologist has recommended that she continue with chemo.   To stop chemo for a hysterectomy, for an UNKNOWN condition, could allow the breast cancer time to spread, depending of course on the size and aggressiveness of the tumor for which she is being treated, whether there was an node involvement detected, and whether there has been microinvasion that has not been detected.

I hope you will share our comments with your daughter, and that she will take them into consideration, and maybe even meet with her oncologist again before making a final decision.

However, it is ultimately her decision, and we wish her well whatever she decides.

Best wishes...

The surgeon is doing a hystertomy in case there is something there that was missed in the ultrasound.  The encologist wanted her to continue with the chemo treatments first..
following the masectomy....she is choosing to listen to the surgeon and have the hysterectomy...and then continue with the chemo treatments...???  I am her mother.

There would be NO advantage to have a hysterectomy for the treatment of Breast Cancer ..... I'm sure it was recommended that you have some type of treatment following your breast cancer surgery; you don't mention what type of surgery was performed. A uterine cyst would not be a reason for a hysterectomy unless it was advised by your Gynecologist. Removing the uterus would have no effect on anything to do with your breast cancer diagnosis.   Regards .....
