A related discussion,
Help??? was started.
Sigh. The whole point of my intial reply was that in view of the exposures described and your test results, it is IMPOSSIBLE you have HIV. There is no information you can possibly provide that can change that conclusion.
1) No risk --but the risks of exposure doesn't matter. You could have mainlined HIV infected blood. The test results prove you weren't infected.
2) Terminal cancer maybe, profound immune deficiency diseases (much worse than yours), or other immediately life-threatening illnesses. Even these are theoretical, with few if any actual known cases of delayed seroconversion.
3) Yes your test results are conclusive.
Really, stop obsessing about this. You don't have HIV. Move on with your life. Take care.
Dr H,
I want to thank you. Yes, nine hiv test and you don’t even want to know about the doctors visits but as stated the last test was 2 days she of 10 weeks (would this be considered 10 weeks)
Finally, my concern is the if the guy gave the other girl oral sex 30 - 45 minutes before me and fingered her then gave me oral sex 45 minutes later and fingered me. Would her vaginal secretions on his hand not transmit the virus to me if she had it?
The horrible thing about this is. The internet will make you suicidal. There are contradictions everywhere. Although, I want to move on those contradictions play in your mind and in turn you feel the negative test you took 2 days shy of 10 weeks will turn positive by 12 weeks because of the whole "delayed seroconversion" panic... Unfortunately, I found this website after I read a plethora of conservative, conflicting, and misleading information on the internet.
So my final questions are as stated above are (and I hope with all due respect we never speak again).
1. If the guy fingered the other girl and gave her oral sex 30-45 minutes (maybe more) before he fingered me and gave me oral sex would her body fluids on his hand pass the viruss to me if she was infected.
2. What diseases do actually delay seroconversion.. would this include any auto immune diseases??
3. Would a 9 week 5 day test be considered 10 weeks and conclusive? even with auto immune diseases?
Welcome to the forum.
Nine HIV tests? NINE? Good grief. Stop it.
It is not possible to transmit HIV by someone giving oral sex to another person and then to you. Oral sex almost never transmits HIV anyway.
Hashimoto's thyroditis does not increase the risk of HIv and has no effect on the reliability of HIV test results. And no medicines have any effect on HIV testing or on the risk of catching HIV. That includes Synthroid.
Bottom line: you were not at risk for HIV from the sexual events you describe and did not need HIV testing. But your negative test results prove you were not infected. Stop worrying about it.
