chronic red eye

I have the same symptoms described by others in that red eyes seem to be my general condition no matter how much sleep I get, I drink plenty of water, take omega oils, have tried Restaysis and other lubricating drops as well as a host of allergy drops, all of which make no difference. My eyes should be floating out of my head with as much lubricating drops as I put in them. I have been to allergists who found nothing and my eye dr. My eyes don't itch so they don't think it is allergies. I was using OpconA which worked somewhat but my dr thought I was having rebound effects and wants me to use preservative free drops for a month to flush out any preservatives that may be irritating my eyes. I am doing this but there is no difference after 2 weeks and this is what we did with the REstaysis so I do not think it is going to work. Tried belladonna last year but not much difference with that either.   Please share any advice you may have.

Hello:
My name is Julissa, I'm 32 years old and healthy, since the last four years the white part of my eyes are getting red (looks like marked red lines in the white part of my eyes). I already visited the doctor, I had many tests, including a kind of ultrasound. They said everything is fine, I have no problems so the red eyes it's cause my optic nerve is thick, so there's no cure for that. I'm pretty depressed about that, cause'it looks really bad, I didn't have this problem a few years ago and it seems like it's getting worse each time. I'd like to know if there could be another reason and if there's any estethic treatment to get back the white in my eyes.
Thanks for your time and your help.
Julissa

The diagnosis is probably wrong.  See a cornea and external disease specialist.
