Birth Control After Pregnancy

This is something that I've been thinking about a lot these past few weeks. I'm currently 34 weeks and I'm set to have a c-section in 5 weeks so this is something I need to decide very soon. I'm thinking about having a tubal done since we're done having babies. Dh being the man he is is totally against having a vasectomy.

What are you ladies thinking about doing after the birth of your little ones?

Melissa that's what I was thinking too with already being open.

I wish I could use another form of birth control but from my experience with other types as well as some research this seems to be the best option. I was talking to dh about it last night and he agrees about not wanting more kids but he feels wrong asking me to get a tubal because it's so permanent.

Lisa I have 2 girls and this one is a boy so the only way I wouldn't get my tubes tied is if for some reason he comes out a she!

I've talked to my OH & told him there is ABSOLUTELY no way I'll be cut open so he has to get a vasectomy done.  BUT I may not have a choice as he had 1 done many years ago & apparently it didn't take as we're now having our 4th child (still birth twins, 2yr old daughter & 31 weeks pregnant) together & have had 3 miscarriages as well.

Since you are having a c-section anyway it makes sense to have a tubal at the same time. :-) Good luck :-)
