exhaling problem

my father, after playing a tennis game exhausts himself and that night he noticed he could not exhale properly, like air was stuck in the pharyngeal or tracheal area part. he not asthmatic. he has a problem with his sinus (had an operation). and says he ate lamb with some herbs in it, i might be thinking of allergies but he could inhale normally, if the airway was blocked he could have both inhaling and exhaling normally. have not taken any medications. so... could sombody help me? thanks

maybe is lamb that tough to eat? could hyper acidity be one factor? or muscular weakness in the airways? my father is far away and hes just telling me his condition, doctors or hospitals are hard to reach in the area.... he's ok now but hes afraid that someday it might happen again. Any other comments?
