Dr. O.
I did discuss this with the surgeon. Those were the choices that I stated. I"m concerned about using my dominate eye for distance. The surgeon said, " he is not so concerned
about that". I would like to know what is the consensus of other surgeons in the situation I am in.
There are many schools of thought on this. There is quite a bit of discussion on this forum -- if you use the search feature you can find them in the archives. Many people seem to be quite satisfied with a multifocal in the non-dominant eye, and a monofocal lens in the dominant eye set for distance. If the ReSTOR is giving you good near vision, you might be quite happy with this approach.
Actually I think I misread your original post. I believe you said the ReSTOR was in your dominant eye -- my apologies. In any event, I do think that if you're having an issue with dysphotopsia, a monofocal in the opposite eye might be best for you.
