well im 37 weeks and 3 days i was hoping i would be dilating,but yesterday at my appt they said im not,my baby is not ready to come out yet, soo lets see how it goes on my next appt,. and wanned to ask wat real contractions feel like because last night i could not sleep had like period pain annd it was just horrible, and im still with horrible pain idk if this are contractions but they are killing me. and when i got the pain last night i felt like i had to pop and was sitting at the toilet for half an hour and nothing.

Sounds like they could be regular contractions if they are lasting that long and are that painful!  But, unless they are coming on a regular basis your not in labor quite yet :( the good news is that they should be helping your cervix dilate! Mention it to your doctor at your next appt and have them check you, you should have made some progress! *fingers crossed*

they last like a minute and then dont get them for like 20 mins. but they hurt like hell!!!

My contractions start as sort of like period pains. It's weird because I can always tell right before they come, even with BH contractions. It feels like a wave coming over my tummy. Then a deep, intense, strong period like pain that makes your tummy hard as a rock. BH contractions only last a few seconds but real contractions last close to a minute and they are much stronger.
