feeling of something in throat

It's been around 2 days and I've had a feeling of something in the middle of my throat. It feels like it could be food, but it doesn't seem to want to move at all. I've tried gargle and tried to clear my throat but nothing helps. Sometimes it feels big and sometimes it feels small. It doesn't effect my breathing nor does it effect my eating, it's just bothersome and I'm in fear of my health. I do not smoke, or do any kind of inhalent narcotic. Before the feeling persisted I recall eating pizza rolls, but can food be stuck for that long? with out a feeling of it coming out? I can't see it for it is too far down for me to touch or see. I've been told it could be food. I would like to know some ways to maybe get it out of my throat and if it will go away. I have had problems with swallowing but never gotten stuck in my throat for this long, usually it only lasted a min. Also, it doesn't hurt at all. I also want to confirm if it's a possibilitty that it could be cancerous? I'm unclear of symptoms but I've been fairly healthy with no real sever problems. Just a bothersome thing in my throat. Please help me out in ways of getting it lose. I would rather not seek medical help from a doctor unless it's totally needed, i felt this not to be sever enought for medical attention, I would like to check here first. thank you.

if you had your tonsils removed and it still feels like something is getting stuck in your throat then they left in your adenoids i would go and have this checked out before it gets worse.....

I have the same symptoms that have continued for several weeks now.  At first it felt like I was continuously swallowing tiny particles of food (like get stuck in your teeth after you eat bready stuff).  Now it's a constant annoyance at the top of my throat, just past my uvula.  Sometimes I can feel it more than others.  No sore throat pain at all.  No extra mucous.  No hoarseness.  I can't see anything back there when I look with a flashlight (although I admit I can't see very far).  I am a smoker and am wondering if it has something to do with smoking.

I've tried to research online but can only find reference to it being GERD - which isn't possible cuz I have none of those type problems, or it being inflammed tonsils/food actually stuck in tonsils - but I had my tonsils removed.

Can yours be either of those two things?

If this is a significant problem, a doctor really has to look down your throat to see what is causing this discomfort.  Many problems could explain the symptoms that you are feeling.  Some examples are an abscess, lodged material from food, swelling of tissues from inflammation that feels like a foreign object, a narrowing of the passages that causes some degree of blockage.  Without someone telling you the cause, it is hard to tell you how to relieve the symptoms.
