Questions regarding ars

Had protected vag sex with CSW in Thailand, unprotected oral (me receiving).
Tested positive for Chlamydia (the condom did not break, false positive maybe?).
Had an injection of antibiotics and Took 10 days of doxycyclin and 6 zithromax.
Got thrush on week 3 which I treated w cream 3 times a day for 2 weeks. Worked but came back at week 9.
Had a p24 and antibody test at week 3
Had Duo test in London at 6 weeks

Started getting joint pains at week 8 mainly back of the knees & calfs.
Had  Elisa test in the UK at 8.5 weeks.

Got really sore throat on week 9, hawking up phlegm and have several swollen nodes/glands in my neck/throat;
one is behind the jawbone under my left ear, the size of an almond.
Also have some noticeable ones in my groin area the size of big peas,
they seem to be hard rather than soft (2 or 3 on each side, they weren’t there 2 weeks ago).

Could ARS appear at week 8?

All tests up ‘til week 8.5 has been negative should I just take that as conclusive and forget about it?

the rash has pretty much crusted over now and it definetly was shingles.

Sorry, I am not trying to convince you I am in a higher risk category.
I am just worried the condom may have slipped off partially, rendering it unprotected.

A condom is not "faulty" unless it breaks entirely.  If it looks intact, it protected you.  Your symptoms do not suggest HIV.

Stop trying to convince me that you really were at signficant risk for HIV.  You were not.

I will have no further replies.

Sorry my English is not so good, I hope we did not misunderstand each other.

Even if the condom was faulty and this was an unprotected incident (vaginal sex) which infected me with chlamydia and the fact that I have had sore joints (back of knees) since week 8 (2 weeks now) you would not change your opinion no?

"In my opinion" is meaningless with respect to whether or not you had chlamydia.  Only valid testing counts.  If you only had the blood test, forget it.  Even without a condom, you didn't get chlamydia from oral sex; and as long as the condom covered the urethral opening, you were fully protected anyway.

Stop posting new questions in existing threads.  There is a limit to the number of new questions each day, for a reason; I cannot answer any more.  And it isn't fair to the original questioner.

Over 90% of attempted questions have been answered; use the search link to find questions on the same topic.  Also, see the disclaimer at the top of the forum:  I do not respond to anxiety-driven questions about zero risk events and other questions that have been asked and asked repeatedly.

I have only had sex with my girlfriend who is a virgin apart from me (yes I know this for a fact). And one other girl about 6 years ago and I had a chlamydia test 3-4 years ago which came back negative.
In my opinion the chlamydia is it was there cannot have come from anywhere but the CSW.
I think the condom rolled back and forth while thrusting cause I saw it and it was only covering the glans when I stopped. Can this be enough for chlamydia to spread? I thought it had to come in through the opening of the penis.

The question of whether ARS symptoms could appear at 8 weeks really is irrelevant:  the test results prove you didn't catch HIV; he duo test at 6 weeks is especially reliable,  Therefore, any symptoms you developed had to be caused by something other than ARS.  It is conclusive:  you don't have HIV.  And in any case, your symptoms do not particularly suggest ARS anyway.

As to chlamydia:

1) You can't catch it by oral sex.  It rarely infects the throat, and there has rarely if ever been a proved case of penile infection following oral sex.  If you had it, you caught it somewhere else.

2) If your swab test was positive, it probably was reliable. But in that case, you didn't get it from the CSW.  If you're relying on the blood test, the result probably was meaningless.  Blood tests only show antibody, and if positive it means you were infected sometime in the past, nothing more.  And yes, the blood tests cross react with C. pneumoniae, a common respiratory infection.

I can also add that I have a small rash (one patch on my left side about 3 inches under my nipple) and it does not seem to respond to benadryl.

The chlamydia test I took said I had two types of chlamydia lgg and lgm and the lab report said cross reaction with chlamydia pneumoniae cannot be ruled out.
One of the doctors that looked at it later on described the test as a '******** test'.
But they definitely did stick two swabs down my penis and took urine and blood.

Any idea what kind of test this may have been and if so is it accurate?
If I did have it, it is def gone now as I have had every test there is.
