Shook head with mild jerk by contracting neck muscles

Hello, I am 40, male and  had a small peripheral retinal tear 8 years back in left eye and was sealed with laser.

I did my routine retina check up today and was normal.

I also have OCD and taking medications. After my routine check up today, came home and just happened to look sidewards by rotating neck.

This cause compulsion and I contracted and jerked my neck and shook my head sideways for few mins mildly. Very scared if it would have led to vitreous tugging the retina and causing some damage.

Have a good day and don't worry. That has probably never caused a retina rear or detachment.   Contact sports and amusement park thrill rides a different story.

Thank you sir. It's just that this compulsion got the better of me so was regretting it. Especially, after the eye exam which was normal

Thank you sir. Just one follow up question. I just went again to doctor just to be sure. After dilation and exam, everything was normal. I was booking my cab home and there was sudden sun reflect
Thank you sir. Just one follow up question. I just went again to doctor just to be sure. After dilation and exam, everything was normal. I was booking my cab home and there was sudden sun reflection on mobile screen. I looked away and the impression lasted 1 minute. I hope there is no solar damage. I can see well. Was wearing sunglasses
That is not a problem; what your OCD is doing to you is
I am on setraline 50 mg for past 10 years. On Saturday I got one eye exam done. Due to head jerk, got another one on Sunday. This happened when coming out and was concerned since eyes were dilated and sunglasses were old. There was direct sunlight reflection through mobile screen, so was concerned since eyes were dilated.

I am so sorry I have been persistent.
Best of luck with the rest of your life.
