Ultrasound, CA125 "Normal"

I am 47, never had children.  I have ALL FOUR of the symptoms of early-stage ovarian cancer that was published this year by consensus.  6 weeks ago I started feeling bloated, my belly is distended, I feel full easily and can't eat more than half my usual meal, and I have urinary urgency.  I had transvaginal ultrasound, CA-125 and a pelvic exam.  All came back normal.

The doctors are saying 'get off the ovarian cancer thing.'  What else can it be?  Has anyone had this happen to them and then been diagnosed with o/c later?   I feel like I'm screaming in a hurricane.

Thank you all!  My next step is a colonoscopy.  My mother had colon cancer, another risk factor for ov. cancer apparently.  Good for you for giving that Dr. an earful Alterna!

A CA125 can be within normal limits and it can still be OVCA,  get a second opinion from a gyn/ono  if you have too. When the symptoms are there,  there has to be a cause. The reason we are pushing these symptoms is so that women will get the early dx if that is what it is. If not then you can relax and live.  My daughter was "put off" for 4 1/2 months  before she found she had stage 3,

Hi, I am having the same symptoms plus more.  My TVUS is on Wed.  I've had a CA 125 that came back normal, too.  I did have a cyst and ovary removed last year.  My CA 125 was normal then, too.  The diagnosis was endometriosis.  If my ultra sound comes back normal I plan to go see a GI specialist.  The fullness after eating small amounts is really bothering me.  I never ate that much to start with and now I'm eating about 600 calories a day.  If that...I started writing it down and it's not much.

I typed in all the symptoms on ask.com and three sites came up.  Ovarian cancer, gastric ulcer and hiatal hernia.  I copied all the symptoms of each one and made a note of what I'm experiencing.  It's sure seems like there's more ovarian things than the others.

You know things aren't normal and you have to follow your feeling.  See another GYN if you can and if everything is still normal go see a GI specialist.  I think it's good to narrow things down.  At the very least your GYN should be concerned that the symptoms are there for something and refer you to another specialist.

Good luck!
