Thanks a lot.
I really appreciate ur response
thanks again
You made my day
In order to consider the test definitive, yes. In reality, since you had a pretty low risk exposure to begin with, I think it will still turn up negative. Most HIV positive people would test positive by 40 days, so the odds are already on your side. It's up to you, really. For my own piece of mind, I probably would, but that is probably overly cautious.
Thanks a lot for your response.
I got tested today which was after 40 days of the encounter. i was tested negative. but the person testing me said that the most accurate test shud b done after 3 months. do u think i need to go for one more test?
response will be highly appreciated
The test was much too early. You need to wait at least 6 weeks and preferably 12 to get an accurate HIV test result. Though with your low risk exposure, most likely it will be negative anyway.
So if you test again in about 20 days, that will be definitive.
