hello out there...
ok guys... where are you??? :) seriuosly if all of you are in the hospital having your babies i'm going to be really jealous!!! anyone have any updates for those of us who are left hanging out?
i'll be 37wks tomorrow (YAY!!!). our little boy is estimated right now at 6lbs and 7oz. i didn't gain any weight since the last visit but he sure did!!! and i only have 1 more doc appt until my c-section on the 13th! so tomorrow i will have exactly 2 wks left!!!
other than knowing when i'll deliver (hopefully) i'm not showing ANY signs that the baby is ready to come on his own. i am not have any contractions and i even haven't lost my mucus plug yet! even though i'm scheduled already i really want to see some signs from my baby and body that its almost time, ya know? i know it wouldn't be safe to go into labor for me, and it would cause stress and maybe an emergency situation... but there's still a part of me that wants my water to break! i mean come on... this will be baby #4 and i am getting my tubes tied and will never get to know what real labor feels like! i guess i just want that experience (even though it's a painful one!).

lol i will. if i make it to my next appointment i am going to beg to be induced, there is really no reason i shouldn't be. I hope he comes on his own though
i really don't yours are BH! i think you are definately having contractions. and i have heard how painful back labor is and, omg... i am so sorry! i know you said that you had preterm labor stopped last week but if it gets too bad please go to l&d! but call your doc before you go and maybe plead your case to him again and see if maybe he'll let you go.
i have been having alot of contractions lately they last a few hours and stop for awhile. I have been having what i think is back labor and its the most horrible thing i have ever felt in my whole life. I cant wait for this baby to come out but now i am scared to death that it will be all back labor and if it is this bad and its only braxton hicks that how horrible is the real stuff going to be. I cant breath or stand up straight when i get it and i end up in tears and puking my guts up. I don't think i can take much more of this.

ftogirl- w/ my first i didn't even know i was in labor! i went to get checked at the doctor and i was 6cm dilated and was even having contractions and didn't know it! so yes, there's hope! i was 39 weeks when that happened... when is your next appt?

my first was an emergency c-section, and i was never offered a vbac w/ my 2nd (i didn't even know i had a choice then!). so then my 3rd ended up being scheduled and now so is this one........... all in 5 yrs!!! :) so for me to go into actual labor might be kinda scary i guess b/c of the risk of rupturing where they had to do so many surgeries. and i'm kinda freaking out this time around... i mean i'm just not relaxed like i was last time. but i know everything will be fine and our little boy (w/out a name!) will be beautiful!!!!!!!! :)
Girls, some days I feel like I have absolutely had it. But it hasn't been that bad, really. Today my nerves are on edge for some reason. Not sure why, I just woke up feeling like that. Anyway, this is my first baby. Due June 8th. I am 38 wks 5 days. Effaced 50%, not dilated at all. And there has been no change in a week. I've had a few of what I think are Braxton Hicks each day but nothing big. Some days he's a little more active than others and his movements are more like little pops or like he's stretching out. No more cartwheels. :) I guess he's out of room.
On the bright side, at my visit Tues the OB told me about a lady that had made no progress as of last Friday and by Tuesday she'd already had her baby!! There's hope!
I don't think I have lost my plug, etc. I have a lot of the symptoms of problems like pre-eclampsia and have had them on and off throughout the pregnancy but my bp stays fine and there's no protein ever in my urine. But still...swelling, blurry vision, dizziness...I guess sometimes that's just normal in pregnancy if they check you and nothing else is going on.

Hey all... I wish I was in the hospital having my baby, but sadly I am not. I will be 37 weeks on Saturday and if I dont have my baby by the 14th my doctor will induce. My last appointment was on Tuesday the 27th and I was 1 cm dialiated and he didnt say if I was effaced... I am really hoping if I dont have my little man by the 14th he induces me on the 14th. I want to have my little man on or before Fathers Day... I was born on what was Fathers Day 1988. It would be really special....

I haven't lost it yet, but I never realized if I did with my first. My doc said he wouldn't check me until 38 weeks. Well I saw the other doc in the office today and had my group B strep test so I asked if he would check since he was already down there.
My bp has been 90/50 consistently throughout this pregnancy and today it was 147/50, so I think they are testing becasue of the increase from last week.

so if you have high bp they automatically check you for pre-eclampsia? they don't play around do they?!?!?!

I will be 36 weeks tomorrow. I asked the doc to check me today and I am a fingertip dilated (about 1 cm) and 50% effaced. I know that 1 cm isn't really anything, but its better than nothing!!
My BP was high so they are testing me for preeclampsia but so far have only found a lack of potassium, which I have to take supplements for.
It feels like everyone is having their babies!! I'm hoping I go a little early!!
