burning skin and goosebumps constantly

by gomie, May 30, 2008 09:39AM
I have had all types of test and all negative.  I feel like someone is rubbing sand paper all over me.  My skin burns and i have a goosebump sensation.  Puting on clothes moving creates this feeling.  I am lost at what other means i should try.  i am on lyrica and cymbalta and xanax but no relief.

Just recently, I've started having a burning sensation in my right neck and head.  It wakes me up in the middle of the night.  I wonder if it is stress/anxiety related, as I have had several panic attacks in the last few months because of chest pain.  As a result, I was prescribed by ER doctors Xanax, which I have only taken a few times.  The doctors ruled out a heart condition.  I currently still have chest discomfort.  My doctor is more holistic in his approach and has suggested some alternate means of help.  The burning sensation has only been going on for about a month...and the pain moves around....  I'm seeing a osteopathic doctor for ajustments and an acupuncturist.  My doctor believes this will help me.  (I had migraines every month...and last year he recommended acupuncture for it and I haven't had it since.)  Today was my first osteopathic adjustment.  My doctor recommends approx. 3 adjustments with 3 acupuncture treatments, at least.  I'll keep you posted if this helps.
