POST STENTING FEVER

MY FATHER HAD UNDERGONE ANGIOPLSTY WITH STENTING OF DESCENDING THORACIC AORTA TO BYPASS THE AORTIC ANEURYSM 5 MONTHS AGO. PRESENTLY HE IS HAVING LOW GRADE FEVER WITH OCCASIONAL PAIN IN  LARGE JOINTS FOR LAST 15 DAYS. FEVER IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH CHILL AND RIGOR. GENERALISED WEAKNESS IS ALSO PRESENT.
WHAT SHOULD BE THE NEXT COURSE OF MANAGEMENT?
THANKS IN ADVANCE

ECHO WAS FOUND NORMAL ON 15 - 06-08.
FEVER SUBSIDED WITH A COURSE OF ANTIBIOTIC, BUT RECURED AFTER TWO DAYS OF COMPLETION OF ANTIBIOTIC.
HAEMODYNAMICALLY NORMAL.

Are you certain the fever is related to the stenting?

I would call the cardiologist immediately, no delay.  It seems important to know what is going on, at least, so you can make decisions.

Good luck.
