My blood pressure gets low too so everytime I have trouble with that the doctor lowers the dose on the beta blocker and it still works for my IST.
The eye MD said it could be caused by the beta blocker but of course said to keep taking them and consult with my doctor about that.
I know the floaters are directly related to the beta blockers because before I started on any medication for my IST, I never had floaters or any type of eye problems at all.
I have IST, but actually have extremely low blood pressure, so I haven't been able to take beta blockers for years since it brings my BP down even further. However, I have a lot of floaters, especially in bright light. Did your eye MD say that the floaters were related to the Beta Blockers, or to IST itself?
Thanks for your answer. I have the same problems. I'd like to get off beta blockers, but can't take such high HR, HBP. Have you seen an eye MD? I did, you should too.
Im taking 100mg a day of atenolol to lower blood pressure and heart rate. I have noticed spots of light and squiggley like spots. Have also noticed floaters more often and seem to have grainy like vision at times. Was finding it hard to to see coming from a bright area into dark, like walking into the house etc.Ive also had ringing in the ears.
