I suffer from small fiber neuropathy as well. I used to take Neurontin but after being on it for several years it was no longer effective. I now take Lyrica (100mg in the AM and 300mg in the PM). You might find this to work better than Neurontin. The one thing I like about it is that it doesn't make me as tired.
