Is this procedure common? I mean, its frequent the need of gas after the oil removal?
Yes, you can read many posts about gas and oil in these forums.

Those are bad news :-(
I will need all the "leprechauns luck" to be an exception - positioning scares me a lot!!!
In fact, I dont think I can stand one, specially while sleeping.
Well, the "small ones" are cool and I'm not exactly like others cases, hope I can skip this part...
Is it normal to extract the vitreous liquid during a Retinal Detachment Surgery and NOT replace it during a Traction Retinal Detachment surgery? I've had numerous surgeries on my eyes (everything but a scheleral buckle), and lots of hard earned education. My 1st Opthamologist said it wasn't necessary to replace the fluid. This is what my 2nd Opthamologist said 8 yrs later, as well. I'm confused because I've read where some surgeons replace the vitreous with a saline solution.
Also, is there a top notch, primo, or the Best Eye Clinic that Specializes in Retinal Detachment or Advanced Eye disease? Its frustrating looking for the best! One never knows until its too late!
