We are starting Concerta and Ritalin for 12 yr.old boy

I had the pediatrician order a EKG and will get the results on Monday. If it shows no heart problems is it then safe to put him on these meds? I am very nervous about it as at 33 I had a mild heart attack after child birth and now have Atrial Fibrillation controlled by daily meds. Am I setting him up for problems in the future? His Dr. says not to worry, that it is very unlikely he will have any problems. Anyone have any insight?

Thanks
