Hello! My brother in law is in ICU and in critical condition. He is also diagnosed with Miller fisher syndrome. The doctor has completed 5 days IVIG course but he is still unconscious and showing no response. His condition was getting worse very fast. When he was admitted to the hospital he had double vision and was not able to walk. His MRI, CT scan, CFS etc test showed normal range But next day he started having slurred speech and next day be was not able to walk. The very next day he could move his body and eyes. Although the hospital started IVIG treatment next day but even after five days he is not showing any movement signs. Has anybody experienced the same? Can anybody tell me till what time the patients should show some response to the IVIG treatment.
How is your son doing? My husband was diagnosed with Miller Fisher in Oct. 07. All the same symptoms as your son. He has completely recovered, but continues (after 2 years) with muscle pains, gets easily tired, chest pressure.. He has visited all kinds of doctors and they all attribute his symptoms to Miller Fisher after effects. Is your son suffering of the same?
