what does an echocardiogram tell?

If I was on the verge of having a heart attack would it show up in an echocardiogram and a blood test?

On the verge of a heart attack will not be picked up by an echo or blood work.Other types of studies would need to be done.

Not likely, an echo shows the structure of your heart, generally a stress test with or without nuclear profusion is generally more useful in identifying blockages that may lead to a heart attack.

Good Luck,
