help me please!

hello, i am scared that i might have a serious problem with my left eye. i have put off doing anything about it because im out of work and have no insurance. i have put this off long enough but i dont know what to do. in my left eye around the start of this year of 2009 i noticed i had a dark spot around 2 inches in my vision. that 2 inches is when i try to get the size of it using microsoft paint. when it first started i thought it might be the dark spot from a camera flash seeing as i noticed it jan. 2nd or so. i started to worry when it never went away and now it really has me worried because my vision is warped and blurred inside the dark circle. any help would be greatly appreciated. i just need to find a free clinic for eye care. i live in greenwood, south carolina and i am 22 years old if that matters. thank you. oh yeah i have taken an asmer's test or whichever on will show the black and white blocks and it was skewing and weird looking.

At your age the most common cause would be eye migraines also known as ophthalmic migraine. Use the search feature to read about them.

Nevertheless you should see an Eye MD ophthallmologist as in some cases it can be due to disease of the eye, braine, heart and blood vessels.
