Heart Problems or Is it my hormones?

I'm a 35 year old female. I've been having paplitaions, sometimes extra heart beats PVC, muscle twitching, headaches that is located on my right lower back of my head. I usually get these symptoms a few days before I start my period and still sometimes have them a few days after. This has been going on for several years now and I am tired.Do these symptoms have anything to do with my hormones? I've gone to a cardiologist and he performed several tests, such as a stress test and ecocardiogram and checked my thyroid. Everything was normal besides the fact that my heart beats fast. What is causing me to have palpitations? I know that I am about 50lbs over weight but I know I don't feel mormal. Can someone give me some answers!

Hello:

I am a 46 year old female who just began experiencing PVCs. I just completed a cardiolite stress test which came back normal. I have hypothyroidism and am about 50 pounds over weight which I know does not help!

What has anyone else out there been told about PVCs? Have you found eliminating anything from your diet helps? Exercise? Medication?

I am a little scared and not getting much direction from the medical community.

Thanks!

It is so hard to relax when I'm having an episode. I sometimes feel like i'm going to pass out when I get palpitations. When I do any kind of activity i will feel a sensation of the extra heartbeat. My palpitations happen in the morning when I wake up or in the middle of the night when I wake up to go to the bathroom. Even though my test came out negative I've been taking toprol for the past 3 years. I wish I had some answer for what i'm experiencing.

I have a great deal of palpitations at ovulation, and a small recurrence of them at my period.  MANY women who complain of palpitations notice that they do become more frequent at times of hormonal shifts.  If your cardiac workup turned out normal (sounds like it did) then I would try to ignore the extra beats and relax :)  You sound like the typical PAC/PVC sufferer and you have a lot of company around here!
