Advanced Symptoms

As symptoms get worse, the person might begin to have difficulty with everyday tasks, like getting dressed, going to the bathroom and driving. They might also have trouble remembering current events and details about their own lives. They may start using wrong words in sentences, making speech confusing and hard to follow. Sleep patterns change; people developing Alzheimer's begin waking up in the middle of the night. They may even become delusional and experience hallucinations. When Alzheimer's becomes severe, they are unable to understand language, recognize their own family or perform even the most basic activities.
