The hardest part of loving an animal is the hard fact that we outlive them. I can't imagine living without them though.
I have 2 senior dogs myself now, and one has liver failure. The dog in my profile picture passed away after 17 years on my lap. He was blind due to a battle with glaucoma for the last 5 years of his life. He could still run around the house just fine by putting a different potpourri scent in each room and not changing the furnisher around. He was my baby. Though aren't they all.
I just love them dearly every day and thank God for every day I have with them all. ;~)
