Traditional homeopathy takes a drug and dilutes it repeatedly until its active ingredients are essentially gone — making homeopathic drugs no better than a placebo. Moreover, according to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, which is part of the National Institute of Health, "there are currently no uniform licensing or professional standards for the practice of homeopathy in the United States."
