Daily exercise is a crucial component of any prediabetes treatment plan. Not only will it help you reach your weight loss target, but it also can help to lower your cholesterol and blood pressure (high levels of cholesterol and blood pressure are both risk factors for prediabetes), and may help you get a better night’s sleep, which several studies link to reducing your body’s resistance to insulin. Aim for 30 to 60 minutes of heart-pumping exercise five times a week.
