Rash of what???

Hi everyone.  I just finished week 9/48.  On Sunday morning, I woke up with a very painful rash filled with blisters ( kinda reminds you of some type of insect bite, but I haven't been around any bugs like that)  Anyway, has anyone esle experienced this type of side or is it even a side at all.  Keep in mind, I do not inject in my thighs. I inject in the stomach area.  I have been treating the infected area with Neosporin and bandaids, but it is not working.  Any advice?

I suffered with riba rash all through tx.  At the beginning of tx, I looked like I'd been whipped, big red welts all over my body.  My specialist gave me Diprobase (perscription) cream which was an absolute sanity saver!

I also used baby oil every time I took a bath and massaged Almond oil into my scalp twice a week & left it in over night.
Hope this helps.

Thank you everyone!  I thought for sure I was bitten by some huge insect.  The only difference between my symptoms and all of yours is that it does not itch.  It is feverish and painful to the touch with many small blisters located directly within the rash.  I will watch it for a couple of days and if it gets any worse, I will take a trip to the doc.  Thanks for all your input.

Many people get riba rash all through tx.I got it on my forearms shortly after starting and had it to some degree all through tx.Disappeared when tx over. I used vaseline on my arms and it helped. Scratching is very very bad.The main thing is to stop the itching so you don't scratch. On my face I used Allmay milk plus moisturizer(face more sensitive).Moisturize all over-baths not too hot-body oils are way decreased. You will get more feedback on this one. Frank

I've had a problem with rashes since day 2 of treatment.
For the rash on my arms, chest, neck and back my dermatologist gave me dexamethasone in eucerin cream (rx) which helped with the itching trememdously.  I also use allegra for itching, and aveeno bath oil.  This rash stays mainly on my chest, neck and back.

For my face he gave me Elavil (rx).
Both have helped tremendously, but have not completely cleared it up.  I pray it goes away after treatment.  Try to get some relief soon--I was scratching in my sleep which led to open sores.  Good luck to you.

I never had "riba rash" while on tx but I have had shingles and that's what it sounds like to me. Hope it's not, it's not a pretty sight and it hurts like hell.

Yes, it sounds just like shingles to me too.
Very painful.  You need to see the doc and gets some
meds to ease the pain while it runs it's course.
I think they also have a numbing ointment now you can use on the blisters. (It wasn't available when I had shingles)
Do you also have swollen lymph nodes around where the blisters are?  They can hurt just as much as the shingles itself.
Get plenty of rest and see the doc.
Feel better...
