Wellbutrin for ADHD

Depression - Anxiety - ADHD
I have been on 150 mg of Wellbutrin for 2 years and a week ago went to 300mg for Depression and ADHD.  I have been having heart palpitations and feeling very irritable.  Will these symptoms go away if I hang in there longer?  if not ... What else would you recommend I try?

tow of the medicine you are on they use for seizures,have you had an egg done.Adderral is a medicine my son was on along with concerta and them found my son was having seizures.

Thank you Glen for your comments.  I am currently in therapy as I believe my depression is part biological and cognitive.  I was at a dosage of 300mg for a week and felt VERY anxious now the doctor wants me to take 150 one day and 300 the next and see what happens.  My therapist suggested I try to add an SSRI like Zoloft in the mix... I'll check my Dr.

After being diagnosed 20 years ago with Bi-Polar disorder and recently being diagnosed with ADHD I have a few tips from discussions with others.  First, I have found that Anti-Depressants are discourged with the use of medications for ADHD.  In fact, a long-time friend suggests that I was misdiagnosed with Bi-Polar.  Currently, I take 1000 mg. Depakote, 150 mg. Lamictal, and 30 mg. of Vyanse.  The Vyanse was substituted for Adderral because I was looking for something better and maybe less side effects, not that I had negative side effects but I had some sleep issues with Adderall now corrected.  I also learned from this forum that a person felt Adderall made them feel like they were on Meth.

You probably should discuss with your doctor how the Wellbutrin would affect any ADHD medication they might but you one.  It's been so long since I was on albeit briefly, Wellbutrin, I have never heard of this prescription for Depression and ADHD.  Each person situation is different though.  Good luck and God Bless.
