What Dr to go to??

I have some questions.............

What KIND of dr diagnosis one with ADD/ADHD?  Like a Family DR? Or do you go to a shrink?  

I KNOWWWWWWWWWWW I have Adhd. Seriously. I cannot focus on anything. I cannot remember anything. I start doing one thing and then never finishing it....which isnt good because in my job i have lots of projects that i am forgetting about because i just cant stay on top of it!  I talk extrememly fast.  I do everything fast.  I will have like 3 conversations going on at once......to like one person !   I cant sit still. I have to alway sbe shaking my leg sitting, standing, in bed, at the movies, etc.  
I have super super bad anxiety as well.  LIke my chest feels like i cant breathe.   Or else i feel like im gonna murder someone that sits by me because of her voice tone (maybe that's just me being mean but i dont think so)....like things like that irritate me to hell and back.  

Regardless....i do need to talk to someone about me possibly having adhd.  and, my anxiety situation.  

should i go to a shrink? if so, do i need to be referred?  I dont have a reg fam dr.

yes, my psychiatrist prescribes me vyvanse for adhd and xanax for anxiety as well as prozac for depression and abilify for mania.

DOES A SHRINK DO THE MEDICATION FOR ADHD AND ANXIETY THOUGH TOO?? LIKE WOULD HE/SHE BE THE ONE  THE PRESCRIBE ADDRERAL (FOR EXAMPLE)....AND OTHER MEDICATIONS FOR ANXIETY AND OR DEPRESSION??

you need to see a psychiatrist for your possible adhd and anxiety, therapy might help some too. use your family and friends as support as well. you need to talk to your insurance company to see if you need a referral or not, every company is different. you may have to establish a family doc to get a referral but talk to your insurance people.  anxiety and adhd can cause irritability and anger outbursts so you need to see a shrink.
