add medication and cardiac side effects

Tell me please, what effects does 4-5 yrs of amphetamine(addreall) use have on the heart of a 9-10 yr old child? What part of the heart does this effect? Have you seen aortic stenosis or any other valvular problems? Please help!!!

I have put this into my search Engine and you are right it isnt easy to find anything definate, what I have found in a Paper, is this, A Physician called Sidney M. Wolfe he is associated with the Health Research Group, has put out information perhaps if you put in under  Health Research Group and his name you will find out what he has to say, I know that the FDA has sent out warnings about the effects of Adderall, Dexedrine, Concerta and Ritalin and 2 years ago called for stronger Warnings on the Labels of these Drugs.It is also stated that a recent study suggests "Food supplement treatment of ADHD may be of equal eficacy to Ritalin Treatment, " and all children especially ones with learning difficulties , benefit from a Multiple vitamin-mineral supplement with antioxidants ,B Comlex and Vitamin C.   Interesting .

First he complained of shortness of breath during one of his baseball games, it went away with rest. Then a week later he was riding his bike and he start having severe mid back pain, bad enough that he got off his bike and laid on the side of the road crying and screaming. Took him to the E.R. and all his labs, chest xrays and ekg's were ok. 2 days later he could not get out of bed due to severe chest pain (sternum area). He was in so much pain he didn't want to move.  He was running a low grade temp at this time. Took him to the doctor, and he was thinking maybe pericarditis? He set up an appointment for a echocardiogram at a children's hospital in St. Louis. Since it would be a week before they could do the test, the doctor put him on tylenol #3 alternating with motrin for pain and inflammation. We got the report the next day and they said, DILATED AORTIC ROOT, and set up an appointment to see a  pediatric cardiologist. Still waiting for a appointmant day and time. Right now he's in school and doing ok. He has not been on adderall since april (so he's been off it for about 4 months), and I'm not putting him back on it. I NEVER REALLY BELEIVED HE HAD A.D.D.  I am so sure that the amphetamine
caused some heart problem???  The only thing I can find on the internet is that adderall can cause heart problems and stroke. I AM DESPERATELY WANTING TO KNOW WHAT EXACTLY IT DOES TO THE HEART. DOES IT AFFECT THE AORTA?  Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Oh I am sorry I didnt realise that well how about you put something into your search Engine regarding it, put Adderall  side effects, in.there are also other Forums out there, are you due to see your Doctor soon maybe put it to him .I have read that if the wrong dose is administered there can be a problem but I am assuming you gave the dosage you were told to give,Has your child got a problem now ,that you are asking for infromation regarding it.

i did post the question to the doctor and i received an email that said they can't answer that unless they have all his medical history or is actuall assessed by them. i understand, but i'm disappointed
