Side note: eating vyvanse is the only way to get the effects. Snorting or smoking or shooting it would do nothing
I take 50 mg of vyvanse daily but i used to abusr it quite bad. You can only abuse it by taking a higher dose and then running out. But if sge is abusing it she will likely start to complain about having an extremely high tolerance for the vyvanse... Basically when you abuse it, it stops working for you
Sandman2 is right. I went to a pill party before I knew I had ADHD and some guy brought some of his brother's Adderral. We snorted it and everyone got high off it, except me...it had the complete opposite effect on me. Needless to say, I never got invited to a pill party again...lol.
Now I know I have ADHD and I'm taking Vyvanse. If your daughter has ADHD, Vyvanse isn't going to be very much fun...not much exciting happens when you take it. You feel calmer, can concentrate, remember things better, etc...not a high. However, if she doesn't have ADHD, she'll have fun with the stimulants and will get a rush when she takes them.
According to the info on vyvanse, unlike other meds, you cannot snort the chemicals and get high. It must be ingested. Of course, this begs the question of where she learned to break open the capsules and snort and why. Furtheremore, if she has ADHD, the medication should not affect her the way it would someone without ADHD. So there is something weird going on here.
my daughter is 16 and I found her breaking open the capsules and snorting the powder. I was just wondering if she was doing that because it makes her or she is doing for some other reason (i dont what other reason there would be to snorting it if it doesnt make you high.
First, how old is she?
Second, vyvanse is formulated to make it difficult to abuse. Google it and you will see what I mean. It is very hard to abuse due to its chemical formulation.
What is your daughter doing that makes you think she is abusing the medication?
