NFL FOOTBALL WEEK #1!!!!!

Welcome to Week #1 of The 2011-2012 NFL Football Pool!!!!

The pool is played each week and will run 17 weeks up to the Super Bowl. It is great fun and everyone is welcome to join in. Even if you don’t like football and even if you don’t like me for that matter, join in anyway. It is a great place for us addicts to root for our teams, relax and have some laughs.

The results for each week’s games will be posted the day after the last game each week. Example, the 1st. week’s results will be posted on Tuesday, September 13th.

This first week we have a hectic schedule beginning with a Thursday night game and ending with two Monday night games. We will be using the second Monday night game between OAK & DEN as the tie breaker so be sure to include your points when making your picks.

Picks are due by 8:00 pm (EST) on Thursday, September 8th, so get your picks in early.

A huge shout out and thank you to Lance Briggs for paving the way so the players could honor the fallen heroes of 9/11 today. They will be wearing special cleats in red, white & blue imprinted with the words "Never Forget". It is a beautiful tribute on this day of remembrance.

I've popped in on occasion but haven't posted. Been way too busy dealing with our school district. We have a special needs son. They started a new life skills program last year but it seems to be more of an overflow classroom in order to keep the kids in district so the school can get the grant money for them. It's a shame. We've been fighting with the school for about 10 months or so. We've caught them in so many lies. They are just made because they can't pull the blinds over our eyes like they do other parents because my wife is a teacher in the same school. They do try to though.

We are home schooling our son this year and plan on moving after the school year ends. I've been remodeling the house over the past six months or so and now it's time to get a move on it and finish everything so we can put our house on the market. I've been busy with all of that.

Other than that, things are going great. I hope everyone is doing well also.

I plan on making tuna tetrazinni for supper. It's one of my favorites! Probably do some cornbread too. My green beans are finally ready to be picked so plan on cooking some of those. Supper is at 6:00 if anyone would like to join. If you've never had tuna tetrazinni, you have to try it! Let me know if you want the recipe.

Okay, yes, I'll think the combo points over but...I called the guy that I usually call about my "score predictions"; I don't know his name. I call him "53"(he said to). Anyway,his "helper" told me to 14...So...I said "14"....I shouldn't trust him though...

Ya done good Vicki---anyway is a good way. Just make sure that the points you pick for the Monday night tie breaker are the "total" points for both teams. 14 total points is totally doable but highly unlikable for that game. Re think that and if you want, you can change it by 8 pm tonight.
