RLS, something that I think helps...

So once again I am on Day 12. I have been coming to this forum since April and this is my second "REAL" attempt at detoxing. The last time I made it almost three months and relapsed because I didn't worry about my after-care, and that is the MOST IMPORTANT part of addicton. Anyway, when I first came here I knew nothing about the Thomas Recipe or things to do to help or illeviate withdrawl symptoms, especially RLS. So, my second time round' (currently) I have found that this helped me with RLS. Plenty of Banana's/Potassium. And for those who get the RLS in their legs or arms, or both....once it starts, get up and move that body part around. If it is legs, then walk around for a while, like 10 mins or so, keep your blood circulating...the RLS will stop then lay back down and try to sleep again. Contintue this process until you fall asleep. This should work for arms and legs. Well, at least it did with me. If some of you notice, RLS comes at night, when your body is finally relaxed and your trying to sleep. WHen your not moving around your muscles start to jump, hence the skin crawling. This is why most dont feel the RLS during the day, just anxiety because you are constanty moving and/or not even thinking about it. But at night, your just lying there, not moving and waiting for it to start.....SO try this method, hopefully it will help some as it helped me.....

Since I started doing this, I have been able to fall asleep every time, sometimes I wake up because it has started again, but I repeat the process and its back to sleep......

Just my own advice......take it or leave it....

xo, Lisa

Exactly what I did. Sat night the RLS was so bad, I wanted to knaw my arm off. So I got up to go into the living room to watch TV and sat up for a while changing channels and before I knew it, I was asleep. I woke up two hrs later with the RLS in my legs, walked around to 10 mins, and layed back down and fell asleep once again.....I HATE RLS and never want to go through it again...

I agree. It's been one of my major problems. During the day I'm fine then about 2 hrs. after I fall asleep I wake up. Last night I went looking for the bottle my wife hid but couldn't find it in the 2 mins. I took to look for it. I went back and laid down and next thing I know it was time for work. I'm gonna grab some bananas today after work and eat a few before bed.
