How many pills do you have before your next refill???
Nauty.........
sorry, i missed your other post. it sounds like you have a wonderful husband. good luck with your taper!
Waiting until the 17th is a mighty long time. I would try to talk to the doc mine always acted like that to over the last 5years............But when I went in and was upfront about what has happened he was very compassionate and did not want me to suffer. Are you sure he wont be understanding? Maybe you could take your husband in.
And to answer your question 1234betterlife, Yes I gave my meds to my husband
That really depends on how much you can stand. Tapering to fast usually means you're going to suffer greater withdrawal symptoms. It takes a certain amount of time for your body to adjust to each drop. I'd say a week for regular pills, two weeks for methadone.
So if you drop a 10 mg's with your pills, and then drop another 10 mg's in two days, and another 10 mg's in two more days... it's really like you've dropped 20-30 mg's according to your body's reaction on day 7.
My doctor warned me that if he even thinks I'm using these meds incorrectly then he would cut me completly off, I'm so sorry for not posting right I'll be using this post from now on, I keep getting lost on here.
do you have someone to dispense your meds? we, addicts, typically gorge on pills, tapering is not by nature very successful unless a support system is in place. when you taper, you will be in withdrawal to some extent, the entire time. it just lessens the symptoms. if you run out you will be in full blown withdrawal, not different than taper, just a little more intense. mentally it is difficult. why not just start cold turkey now?
Stay on the same post it works easier! You can keep posting questions on the same post! Anyway to your question...........I had the same problem. I made an appt. on Monday got in Tues. told the doc I wanted to quit he wrote a script right then Can you possibly do this?
