I posted an introductory post but something I have wondered about for a long time, so I am posing it to everyone....and I hope that is okay.
My doctor used to prescribe me a ridiculous amount of 10/325s....240 a month. Since I only took less than half of that, it was very tempting to sell the extras. I finally told him that I was getting too many and to cut it down to half of that. So I had the occasion to meet some young people who were on very high doses. I'll just leave it at that. (When I say "young people"....I am not talking about teens, but about people in their 30's. At my age, almost everyone is a young person.) But what I seem to understand from them was taking 15 to 30 hydros a day didn't make them feel high.....it was what it took to make them feel "normal". I could relate to that because even though I was on a fairly low dose, and taking the pills that I took, didn't make me feel high. It made me feel okay. Sort of like everything was okay....but not hyper or sleepy or really, not high. I have experienced a little bit of "high"....I used to smoke marijuana. Being the "health nut" I was (ha-ha) I wouldn't buy it because I was "paranoid" about how it was raised, so I grew my own. Smoked all I wanted and sold the rest. I have never drank to excess because I don't like how drinking makes me feel....sleepy....so my question is, when you take a lot of a drug, does it really make you feel high, or have you built up a resistance until it just makes you feel normal? I hope you don't mind me asking. I have always wondered about this.
