Sturgil, you will find a reply to you from Thomas on one of the threads up top.  He is an Admin on a forum I started with Suzneedshelp awhile back.  Everyone is welcome to come there and post with us.  He gave you the direct link to the Issues section of the forum where we do mostly serious posts, like in MedHelp.  I will put the URL to the main forum page in this post if you wanna go there too and see everything the forum offers.  We have many sections on different topics, pics section, caretakers section, and a link to the live chat if you are into that.  Hope to see you there soon. :)

I hate the fact this board will close due to lack of DR to monitor and respond. Please! I get better advice from my fellow addicts. You know my pain, you know my where I have been and what I going through because you were once in active addiction.

Now what to do? We all need a new home and fast. Thomas, dig deep my friend and give us some of your incredible wisdom!!!

I am posting my e-mail just in case we do find a new home. Thank you all for everything. The 4th of July will be 7 months clean from hydros and somas. The experience, strength and hope will lead us to a new home. Keep the faith!!!

hey there, my name is michael, and i go to na meetings and have been going since 1976 i had 16 years clean then had to take pain meds. , i found this fourm and found my way to getting off the pain meds with the help here and the thomas's receip,
i now have 16 months clean.
my father is a aa member who has 37 years sober.

there are a nimber of people here who go to meetings, and a few
people who have been tio meetings but dont go anyu more.
i can under stand where they are coming from ther are a lot of poorly run meetings and unatractive to new commers,
i personaly love na meetings and most of the people in my life are na members.

Hang in there Kim! I've not been to this site in a few days b/c it was becoming to much of a reminder of what I was trying to forget about.  I'm on day 7 w/o buprenex and day 13 w/o hydro.  I truly believe w/o your help I would still be taking them. I did not want to let you down, someone I never met nor someone I even really know. That said you reached out to me and I can without question say I AM DONE! THANKS KIM!!!! And thanks for everyone else sharing. I am alive again! It is amazing. I'm praying for you Kim that you have the power to resist those damn deamons! You are truly an angel in my eyes.  I just hope you can appreciate the impact you've had on my life and that God rewards you, I wish I could.

I told my dad! He called and I cried and told him! He knows what I am going through! He said either way, he is taking 5 pills home with him! so that way if I try to take them, I will be short 5 anyway! I only have enough for the day! Remember the conversation we had the other day about you flushing all those pills? Well, I found a stash, not a big stash, but nevertheless, a stash to me! The worst part is when I went to fill my script, they gave me the NAME BRAND because they were out of the generic. Right there I wanted to take them! Just because they are not generic! I talked myself (yelled at myself) right out of it! I said "NO WAY IN HELL! I WILL BE SICK THE REST OF THE WEEK AND JUST NO! I'M NOT EVEN GOING TO THINK ABOUT IT AGAIN! CASE CLOSED!" Now I had a headache and went to get advil, I must have stashed 5 (not many but i'm use to taking 1/2's throughout the day and 5 would do it!). I don't mean to get weird on everyone, but see how evil this thing is? This TRYING AND OUT TO GET ME! I said no! I don't have enough, and it's like right at that time, it actually says "Well how's this? I'll give you 5 to start" WHAT THE F*CK! I'm sorry but this is some sick sh*t! I seriously believe it is alive!This is not a coincidence! My sister said the same! When she wants drugs and has money she can't get them! But everytime she tries to quit, EVERYONE WANTS TO COME GIVE HER SOME FOR FREE! Sometimes I feel that the way Jesus is to God, Addiction is to satan! I'm sorry if I'm getting all nutty, I just am rambling because I don't want to think about what is behind me in the other room! If anyone can help, I put your name jack because I remember our conversation! I posted my picture on drugabuse.com site. I was just having fun and trying not to think. Reading all these posts here is very touching. I wish all of you the best in this honorable fight against a hideous disease.  For some reason, we all found this place so we can all find another place. If I  ( and I am sure many others) could figure out a way to drive 40 miles to an urgent medical care to "score" or to trick a person who went to 10 years of school to write us a 20 tab script for ( fill in drug of choice here..) we are strong enough to carry on. ( at least that is what I am telling myself!) Keep believing everyone, in your God, and in yourself!
