I'll have to agree with these latest posts. The suboxone is like a last resort. There are many, many who are addicted to it and say it is harder to get off than their DOC.
If you have kicked the getting high part and mental stuff with it, you may want to wean yourself off slowly and the withdrawl is not nearly as bad. Except that is hard to do with oxys. I wonder if you could switch to vicodins or hydrocodones to tapper with. not sure if a doctor would go for that, but what do you have to lose by asking. they cannot throw you in jail if you do not have drugs on you. and you are reaching out for help. I don't think there is any doctor out there that would advise quitting cold turkey.
Like worried said, it's better to keep the sub short like about 21 days or less. Any more than you could be in trouble. all the best
YOu can also get Sub by actually just paying for it though a dr. that is not a family dr. or your family dr. I went to two different types of sub dr. One that was in a clinic type setting and another that was a family dr that just so happen to be certified in distrubiting sub. Both were paid by cash and cash only. If you need help located a dr to get sub, I will help you. Just pm me.

U also tried very hard on your own first before u turned to the sub...and u may perhaps have been a heavier user that this person...
Suboxone is usually a last resort to quit narcotics after u have tried on your won and could not make it...turntohelp ******* also has a way to find a sub doctor by zip code....if u r afraid of withdrawal, then u r afraid of the wrong part of quitting tho...the physical part is such a small part of getting clean..i dont know ur dose but wds for me at 80 mg of hydro a day was 4 days of feeling flu like...i was scared too as i thought i was going to be writhing around on the floor and having convulsions or something...now heavy users in the 150-300 mg a day of oxy or hydro can have a tougher time but they make it as well..methadone is even tougher but have seen many make it off of methadone as well..even heroin can be done...how ong we use is also part of it but 2 years is not very long compared to most on the forum.....i would not be afraid of talking to the doctor who prescribes them to u to help u get off..he can give uome drugs to help ease the wds...no police...no turning in anyone...if u dont have a prescribing docotr then talk to ur regualr doctor/be honest and ask for help/bleieve me u r not alone/this is very common/after i quit i found out 2 of my doctors had addiction problems in the past..doctors are just people
suboxone is a powerful drug....and is very addicting...short term less than a month or so..21 days recommended at the longest/most do not become addicted/but then u still have the mental part to deal with/and that is the humdinger part..sub is also expensive so check around if u decide to go that route...and be safe..educate urself on ur alternatives...the withdrawal part may not be as bad as u think it will be
what is ur DOC and daily dose?
Sub could help but don't let some doc sub doc try to snow you that you need to be on it 8 months, that's BS in most cases. It does the doctors wallet more good than it will do you. I have seen better reuslts from shorter courses of sub for about a week or 2 unless you are comming off methadone. all the best
You will be so glad you went and got help. You can go on line to Suboxone.com and find a doctor near you who can prescribe Sub -- There are only a limited number of doctors who can prescribe it - - - they are used to dealing with people with narcotic problems and will not judge you or make your life difficult - - they do not need to know where you got your drugs or involve the police in any way --- He/She will simply write you a prescription for Suboxone and give you instructions on how much to take and when. I only recently used Sub to get off of Oxycontin and Percocet - a 10 year addiction, and I think it is one great drug - it allowed me to break my addiction without those horrible W/D's. I hope you will go and get some help -- you will agree later that getting your life (and your emotions) back is the best move you ever did for yourself and your family. Please keep posting - this site really will help you. You will get much encouragement and real help from the folks here - many of us have been where you are and are willing to reach out a helping hand. I wish you the best on the journey to sobriety --
No...the doctor is not going to call the police! If you go see a doctor and tell them the truth, they will be more than happy to help and guide you in the right direction!
GO, AND GET YOUR LIFE BACK!

I tell my doctor everything, that's why he says he loves me so :) Don't be afraid they are there for you.
Talk to your dr and be honest and he/she will most likely be happy you came to them for advice and either they can offer you help or refer you to someone/somewhere (maybe pain clinic maybe rehab) and you can tell the dr anything and as long as youre not hurting anyone or are a harm to yourself they wont involve POPO...just be honest...tell him what youve been taking and hell better be able to help you!
Never been on sub but i wish you the best
goodluck
peace love and kind regards
